Do you know the snails ?

As I still have not received my plants, I am amused to take photos of snails. As they are the only occupant of the tray, I did not have much choice either.

First Planorbis corneus (great ramshorn, ramshorn snail, trumpet shell) :

Un planorbe

He is a very helpful snail because it will eat the extra food left by the other inhabitants of the tank.

Now Melanoides tuberculatus (malaysian trumpet snail) :

Un mélanoïde

He is also useful because he will "aerate" the soil. In fact he spends most of his time in the soil of the tank. It comes out when the light is off (or just before).

As usual more photos are visible in the gallery.
